The company AET AFRICA based in Dimbaza, South Africa, was created in 2012 to conduct research, paying particular attention to how to conserve, reuse and improve water heating mechanisms through innovative clean technology, offering energy-efficient products considering the African climate and socio-economic environment particularities.
During the first outbreak of the pandemic, the company took action and repurposed an assembly plant in Dimbaza in the Eastern Cape to manufacture face shields and face masks to protect the population against the COVID-19 spread. They will distribute face shields and masks to students from rural areas in the Free State province, who do not have enough resources.
