In Morocco the Company Farasha Systems Uses Artificial Intelligence Based-Technology in Response to COVID-19

Farasha Systems is a company based in Morocco dedicated to renewable energy and other smart tech-based solutions, providing maintenance services for energy infrastructures using unmanned aerial vehicles (UAE) and artificial intelligence (AI).

In response to the COVID-19 pandemic, Farasha Systems came up with a quite innovative solution. The start-up has developed a spraying system installed on a drone, which allows the disinfection of public spaces in a more efficient and faster way than manual disinfection. The company also adapted a thermal drone that can detect the temperature of people without approaching them. Both initiatives are part of a strong national solidarity effort to fight against the spread of the coronavirus. Civilian drones are usually illegal in Morocco, but Farasha Systems has teamed up with the local government to make an exception to fight the COVID-19 pandemic.
