COVID-19 Action Hub
#covid19action
On 30 January 2020, the Director-General of the World Health Organisation (WHO) declared the coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) outbreak a public health emergency of international concern (PHEIC) and on 12 March 2020 it was formally declared a pandemic.
This pandemic is impacting lives and economies on a global scale in a way that has been both a shock to individuals, societies, economies and more. The good news is that many people are responding to this shock with positive action and United People Global supports both small actions and big actions.
COVID-19 Action Hub is here to support action that is related to COVID-19. This initiative:
01.
Helps people and organisations to take action and to support action!
02.
Showcases impactful actions and initiatives on COVID-19
03.
Shares knowledge from experts
04.
Connects different stakeholders
05.
Provides a safe and focused space for motivated collaborators to interact with each other.
The global responses required to fight COVID-19 remind us that we can all do something and that we are all connected.
Our Approach
United People Global
United People Global (UPG) is a community that encourages and enables people to participate in making the world a better place. This is achieved in various ways and especially by contributing to the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). UPG works to raise awareness, strengthen belief, facilitate collaboration and foster community.
01.
— Our Mission
To encourage and to enable people to make the world a better place
02.
— Our Belief
We believe that every individual, however rich or poor, strong or weak, influential or otherwise, has an important contribution to make towards a more peaceful and sustainable world.
03.
— We All Matter
The world is changing fast and it is important that individuals are empowered in what our societies look like in the future. To guarantee this, UPG’s activities are for the people and by the people.
