The city of Québec, in Canada, will launch a series of solidarity campaigns to encourage the citizens to support each other. The key point of the city officials is to lessen the COVID-19 loneliness and other social negative impacts caused by the pandemic.
The first challenge was launched on January 6th, to support local restaurants by buying a meal to offer to a family member, community individual, or especially to someone in a vulnerable situation, affected by the pandemic. Furthermore, more challenges will be issued in the weeks to come and will be posted on a website especially created to publicize the campaign and on the municipality’s Facebook page.
