Ontier and Lefebvre Joined Efforts to Create “Aretha”, The Chatbot of Free Legal Advice Against COVID-19 in Spain

Ontier is a Spanish law firm that since 1959 has been involved in many important matters in the economical history of Spain. The firm has offices in Madrid, Oviedo, Santander and Seville, as well as in several countries around the world (Bolivia, Brazil, Chile, Colombia, Spain, United States, Italy, Mexico, Paraguay, Peru, Portugal, United Kingdom, Dominican Republic and Venezuela).

Lefebvre is a Spanish publishing house created in 1992 that distributes legal and practical information for lawyers and companies. It offers useful knowledge and resources for professionals.

Ontier and Lefebvre have teamed up to design ‘Aretha’, the chatbot with artificial intelligence for free legal advice against COVID-19. It is a new innovative environment of interaction for legal communication that will provide answers to new legal needs. To this end, Ontier’s legal team provides various legal advice together with the legal publisher Lefebvre that contributes with its experience by incorporating o legal, accurate and up-to-date information.

It should be emphasized that “Aretha” is a pro bono initiative for NGOs, institutions and SMEs with different deficiencies, such as the lack of in-house lawyers who act as interlocutors with clients in the face of the avalanche of legal consultations caused by Covid-19.

The start of Aretha was scheduled for mid-June 2020 and was available until October of the same year. The project was present in all the countries where Ontier operates.
