Among the many aspects of daily life impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic, the overall decrease of mental health has been an issue largely observed around the globe. For this reason, the initiative KeinerBleibtAllein created a campaign on social media platforms meant to fight loneliness, connecting people feeling alone during the holiday season.
According to a study published by the German Center of Gerontology in April 2021, loneliness has heavily affected the society during the pandemic, irrespective of age, gender and education. In order to address this issue, the online campaign “No One Has To Be Alone” aims to help those struggling with the negative impacts of forced isolation imposed by several lockdowns, using social media platforms to fight loneliness.
