UNEafro Supports Efforts for Aid to the Poor

UNEafro is a Brazilian movement that organizes itself into different groups of action in multiple areas. Its most well-known initiative is a free prep course for Brazil’s national college entrance examination (ENEM), which caters to young people and adults from public schools and underprivileged backgrounds, most afro-Brazilians, who dream of entering University or would like to apply for taking a civil service examination.

The movement is also divided into groups that operate in areas such as sports training, political mobilization, and the production of cultural and educational events, and has been a combative social movement where marginalized people, despite their gender or age, are the real protagonists.

UNEafro issued an emergency appeal to help establish financial aid to support poor, afro-Brazilian, and peripheral families from various communities in São Paulo and Rio de Janeiro, in addition to teachers and students in the college prep courses.
