The organisation Edo Group is based in the La Guajira region of Colombia, and works to boost social development and fight poverty through the engagement of local civil society. The organisation focuses on women empowerment through the execution of programs to strengthen civil society actions and has entrepreneurial initiatives to strengthen gender equity. During the pandemic, they distribute hygiene kits and inform the local population on trustworthy information about COVID-19 and recommendations made by the international community. The disruption of the pandemic has also caused an increase in the levels of gender violence, so the organisation is working to help women tackle this problem.
