The Articulation of Indigenous Peoples of Brazil (Articulação dos Povos Indígenas do Brasil – APIB), an indigenous people’s rights organization, has set up an indigenous emergency plan to confront the COVID-19 outbreak in Brazil and to raise awareness to the importance of implementing measures that can save lives and exercise solidarity. Indigenous peoples are among the most vulnerable to the advance of the pandemic and are deprived of resources to combat the disease.

APIB is raising funds to purchase food, medicine, and hygiene supplies for indigenous villages.
