Saylani Welfare International Trust
Established in May 1999 by a religious scholar named Maulana Bashir Ahmed Farooqui, the Saylani Welfare International Trust is an NGO based in Karachi, Pakistan. Its purpose is to break the cycle of poverty, alleviate the financial troubles of the poor, and give people a chance to live a dignified life. The organization aims to improve the lives of underprivileged people across the world by providing quality services in areas including food, education, medical and social welfare free of charge to people living in precarious conditions.
To date, the organization has amassed a vast network of 125 branches distributed in major Pakistani cities such as Lahore, Islamabad, Rawalpindi, Hyderabad, and Faisalabad, as well as overseas offices in the UK, USA, and UAE. Their branches operate under the guidance of a team of over 3,500 working professionals who help almost 150,000 people daily.
In response to the COVID-19 emergency, they introduced a mobile phone application and telephone service where families and essential workers can register themselves to get ration, clothes, and other essential items.
