Goods For Good UK Repurposes and Re-distribute Old Goods to Vulnerable Populations
Rosalind Bluestone founded the non-profit organisation “Goods for Good UK” 7 years ago to support vulnerable individuals and families in the United Kingdom and other countries by delivering “essentials, dignity, and hope.” The organisation specializes in recycling, repurposing, and re-distributing unwanted goods so that the most vulnerable populations can benefit from them. In 7 years, they have delivered over £26 million worth of humanitarian aid to over 3 million vulnerable people in need worldwide, including Moldova, Ukraine, and Iraq. These essential goods include hygiene goods, toiletries, food, clothing, underwear and bedding.
Not only do the actions of Goods for Good UK help those in need but also the working model of the organisation helps reduce carbon footprint. In seven years since its establishment, Goods for Good UK has saved more than 500 tons of goods that would otherwise be discarded or incinerated.
Despite the pandemic, in the past three months, the organisation delivered more than 100 pallets of shoes, clothing, bedding, and blankets to more than 100,000 people in need across Moldova, Africa, Northern Iraq and the Middle East with the help from their corporate partners.
