Doctors Without Borders (Médecins Sans Frontières) saves lives in marginalized communities
Holding the principles “Medical aid where it is needed most–independent, neutral, impartial,” the non-profit organisation Doctors Without Borders has been providing medical care, health education, and mental health support worldwide, especially when responding to natural disasters or humanitarian crises.
To alleviate COVID-19, Doctors Without Borders is working in more than 70 countries, saving communities that are already vulnerable and marginalized. These communities exist in the United States, India, Brazil, and Mexico, to name a few. In some countries, such as Iraq, Yemen, and Bangladesh, major medical projects operated by Doctors Without Borders are already in progress, and the organisation continues to respond to the needs caused by the disease outbreak.
