Cov360.com was started on 17 March 2020.
We aim to reinforce norms in line with the World Health Organization recommendations concerning COVID-19.
Our website went Live with a Facebook Live Launch event on 9 April 2020 with UPG President Yemi Babington-Ashaye as a panel speaker.
The proposition is clear. The purpose of Cov360.com is to promote public health, and fight the disease COVID-19 caused by the new coronavirus SARS-CoV-2 through spreading awareness but also to gain insights from this crisis. Cov360.com shares hope with you that this disaster is resolved and overcome. We aim to follow events through the disaster cycle, from mitigation, preparedness, through to response, and recovery.
In providing a resource where exchange of information and awareness coexists across disciplines, expertise and the global public, our collective response can be enhanced to increase coefficiency on this planet for long term advantage
Volunteers run Cov360.com from the healthcare sector, humanitarian practice, international governance organisations, academia, amongst other innovation-based backgrounds.
Together we are building an ‘at present’ and historical video archive to document events as they unfold. Our library acts virulently to combat disinformation, unfounded facts, misleading narratives, and unwarranted fear, and panic.
Cov360.com believes that to ‘prevent disease, promote health, and prolong life among populations as a whole’ (WHO, 2011) [1] demands an international collective effort that goes above and beyond the individual countries’ healthcare systems. It requires collective and individual action as well as international collaboration to support policy. We will need to adopt new norms, develop networks and provide safe platforms to exchange knowledge and at the same time, we also need to protect the at-risk and vulnerable. Cov360.com understands that this is best achieved by working in alignment with the WHO.
