Corona Care for South Africa
CoronaCare for South African is a match-making platform connecting South Africans to grass-roots organizations that are actively supporting vulnerable groups of people during the COVID-19 pandemic.
Inspired by the Ubuntu philosophy, the organization has joined together to find a solution to help those in need in this time of crisis. They are now accepting monetary donations, as well as hygiene products and PPE, to optimize the supply of essential and preventative goods to vulnerable South Africans. Their main goal is to ensure that all South Africans are included and cared for during the pandemic.
They are encouraging any kind of NPO, charity, or organization assisting people to reach out to Corona Care at donate@coronacare.live.
To date, they have also partnered with non-profit organizations such as Afrika Tikkun, LivCurious, Kunye by Feed SA, Uthando, The Base, and Eden Schools. Since the welcomed dip in the number of COVID-19 cases across South Africa, they are adapting to the “new normal” and exploring possible long-term solutions to hunger by shifting their efforts towards a more sustainable approach to food security.
