BrazilFoundation fights COVID-19 by fueling other non-profits
The coronavirus pandemic exacerbates long-standing social issues in Brazil, such as social inequality. Low-income families or individuals cannot afford to follow social distancing and other preventive measures, increasing their viral infection risks. For the past 20 years, the non-profit organisation Brazil Foundation has been working with its global network of supporters to mobilize resources that help transform Brazil, making it better and stronger. With the central mission of promoting equality, social justice and economic opportunity for all, Brazil Foundation now focuses on raising resources for other non-profit organizations on the front lines of the coronavirus pandemic.
By distributing donations from their supporters, Brazil Foundation selects and supports initiatives that help alleviate the consequences of the pandemic in the most vulnerable states in the country. These initiatives run by various organisations have already began their work on fighting COVID-19 in their local communities. Their aims are to prevent disease transmission and provide food security, financial support and safety for thousands of families.
